Tobacco-Free QC: A QCHI Affiliate Project
The Tobacco-Free QC (TFQC) is a bi-state coalition of community members, agencies and organizations dedicated to reducing the impact of tobacco in the Quad Cities community. The TFQC is a resource for information on tobacco, secondhand smoke, tobacco-free polices, smoke-free pledges, quitting tobacco use, and much more.
Individuals residing in Rock Island County, Illinois and Scott County, Iowa.
Start Date/Current Status
Formerly known as the Quad City Coalition on Health, this group became the Tobacco-Free QC Coalition in 2000. The Coalition is currently active in the community addressing various tobacco concerns. Project Coordinators are on staff at Rock Island and Scott County Health Departments.
Project Goals and Objectives
- Increase the Knowledge of Our Community about the Impacts of Tobacco and Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems
- Strengthen Tobacco-Free and Nicotine-Free Related Policies in Our Community
- Grow and Develop the Influence of the TFQC Coalition
